Five Questions About Leadership and Legacies
1. What aspect of college dodgeball made you want to captain an NCDA team?
College dodgeball is not your run-of-the-mill college sport. It is not just about the competition, but the fun and friendships created with other college students from across the country.
2. What are the main principles that you emphasize to your team?
Even if your not the best, it doesn't mean your not valuable. Just because you get hit out, does not mean you are out of the game. Everyone is an asset.
3. How do you want your team to remember you after your captaincy is over?
I would like to be known for my upbeat style. There is always a sunnier side, even if Murphy's Law says otherwise.
4. What characteristics will you look for in your successor?
I will look for someone who can take our group and continue to move them forward. It would be nice to see our team traveling more often to challenge other NCDA teams.
5. As a captain, what's your biggest priority for the league going forward?
My biggest priority for th league to move forward would be growth and reputation. I realize dodgeball is a sport recently made popular due to a comedic movie, but it gets more than intense at times. I would be nice to see people outside of the sport to give some credit where credit is due.
